Barbeque sauce has always been one of my favorites, but those available in shops are filled with artificial and chemical ingredients.
I decided to make my own version with of tomatoes and other goodness for my home-made burgers.
Ingredients:
- 800g tomatoes
- 1 white onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 tbs cane sugar
- 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
- 2 tbs smoke flavoring/ 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbs ecological apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp pepper
How-to:
Peel and slice onion and garlic. Blend tomatoes with onion and garlic till smooth and add to a pot. Add the rest of ingredients and cook on low heat for ca. 40-50 minutes stirring frequently to prevent burning. The sauce must be decently reduced. When necessary water evaporates, pour the sauce into jars and keep in fridge for up to 2 months.
Perfect relish for burgers or spring rolls. Yum!
